Cultivating Personal and Interpersonal Growth in EdTech

Course Descriptions

Focusing on both personal and interpersonal growth in education is essential. These areas are profoundly interconnected and critical for overall well-being and success. Personal growth fosters self-awareness, resilience, and adaptability, which are fundamental for tackling personal challenges and achieving individual goals. Meanwhile, interpersonal growth enhances our ability to communicate, collaborate, and empathize with others, playing a crucial role in building strong, supportive relationships and thriving in social or professional teams. Together, these growth aspects ensure a well-rounded development, preparing individuals to navigate both their inner landscapes and external interactions effectively. In this course series, we explore ways to foster both personal and interpersonal growth in e-learning environments.

Integrating Mindset and Social Emotional Learning in EdTech

If you think you can do something, you are more likely to be able to do that thing. Similarly, if you do not believe you can do something, you might not even try. From a learning perspective, how a person perceives their abilities and intelligence significantly influences their behavior and motivation. This course is designed for EdTech content developers who want to incorporate personal growth into their learning platforms. You’ll explore the essential elements of Growth and Fixed Mindsets, the Social Emotional Learning (SEL) framework, and learn how to apply these concepts to create more engaging and supportive EdTech products. By integrating these principles, you’ll enhance your digital tools to foster knowledge, emotional intelligence and resilience in learners. Equip yourself to build educational technology that supports comprehensive learner development and promotes a positive learning experience.

Integrating Collaborative Learning in EdTech

There is a lot of learning that happens in groups rather than at an individual level. Computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) focuses on how technology facilitates, supports and enhances learning in groups. This course provides an overview of CSCL and its implementation in educational technology. You’ll learn about key CSCL principles and various collaborative techniques that can transform teaching and learning experiences. The course also highlights essential EdTech tools that support these collaborative strategies, offering insights into how to effectively integrate technology to foster productive learning environments. By participating in this course, you will gain a foundational understanding of collaborative learning in the digital age and the tools that enhance it.
